Hey blog it's me again! Today My partner and I will be coming up with an idea for our short film. Here are our two pitches. A teenager is hired to babysit. The child tries to warn her about evil within the house , however, the evil is the parents who hired her   A strange guest shows up to a private dinner. The guest is creepy and knows the secrets of all the other guests.   Both my partner and I are extremely interested in using the first pitch. The idea is not too complicated and could be done . It would also be a horror short, which could be super fun. We could experiment with different lighting, acting, and props. This idea is simple yet surprising, which would make it perfect for our short!   The second pitch is less exciting for us. Although the creepiness of the guest is cool, it doesn't really stick out to us. Not to mention, it may be difficult to make this pitch for our short as it is sort of complicated. My partner and I decided to do horror as our genre because of the deep and thrilling experience it brings to the audience. The horror genre is very unique where you can build and add tension. It is a way to explore the genre and learn more about it. My partner and I also chose to do horror because we both enjoy watching horror movies, we have seen many films that we had many ideas to lead off of. That's it for today blog!
