Production Blog: Dress to Impress

Hey, blog! It's me again. Today, I will be talking about my trip to the mall. We went because we realized we had forgotten to bring the necessities for the evil sister on the second day of filming. So I volunteered to go buy the costumes we needed. I did not know the size of the little girl so I decided to let her tag along. I drove to Galleria Mall and looked inside Macy's first just to find an affordable black dress. Unfortunately, this did not reach the expectations with prices and my partner recommended going to Marshalls, Tjmaxx, or Ross. I then went to these retail stores and the first one I walked into had the inspiration I was looking for. I bought the dress and then proceeded to look for other items we needed. As I looked around in other retail stores I continued to find more dresses and decided to buy one more to pick from. During this process I was concerned I bought too much for our film but when we filmed it ended up working perfectly. The next day my group and I decided to meet up to plan things out for the next few scenes. these next scenes were the most important parts of our film because they contained a lot of emotion and action. In conclusion, we did a rehearsal day with all the costumes and with the movements. It was a long process but it was perfected in the end. I then recommended filming within that week so no one would forget the information we had obtained that day. Everyone agreed and we will be meeting on the 15th. That's it for today's blog! Until next time, Karina logging off.

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

Hello everyone,     Welcome back to another blog! Today, I will be discussing with you our websites on title research. The title design in opening sequences is extremely important. So, it’s equally as important to properly plan. Because of this, my group has made sure to use the best websites to research our titles and title research. The two websites I have chosen for this research are http://www.artofthetitle.com/ and http://www.watchthetitles.com/. These websites are really good for many reasons. The first is that art of the Title website has movies from around the world, which is really good for variety and helps to research broader styles and genres.     Additionally, the site features title designs of film, television, conference, and video game industries. Again, this is very good for a broad selection. The other website, Watchthetitles.com, has over 200 title sequences, along with video interviews, and articles about movie titles. They are both great we...

critical creative reflection

In this music video I have learned a lot from my groupmate's and technology. The process wasnt easy but it was done. In our music video my group and I decided to challenge the conventions. In the genre most of it follows what the song is saying or shows two scenes but goes back and forth. In our music video we made a script in which we acted out what the song felt like for us. One meaning we had of the song was drifting apart from a relationship and learning to let go, the other was realizing your actions and feeling guilt after. An issue this music video represented was jealousy and how it can come over your actions. The girl (maddie) realized that her friend and boyfriend were cheating behind her back and she took action by drowning the girl. A group this video could affect would be jealous people or people who cheat and lead people on. It could help them to understand how their actions can really affect people from the other side and be considerate. This music vid...
