 scene 1: 2 friends are the way to a fair, they talk to each other

scene 2: the 2 friends get tickets, but there’s someone behind them

scene 3: establishing shot of the fair

scene 4: the friends enter the maze and talk

scene 5: the friends look at rides, but someone follows them

scene 6: they continue to look at more rides

scene 7: the friends continue to talk, this time bringing up an old friend

scene 8: they find a fun game to play and point it out

scene 9: they play the game but lose

scene 10: they keep talking about their old friend as they walk

scene 11: they find a ride they want to go on and walk toward it

scene 12: they ride the ride

scene 13: after riding, they talk about their friend who ran away a month ago

scene 14: as they walk, they look at old pictures of her, before she went crazy

scene 15: front view of them talking, you can see the same person following them in the background

scene 16: they find another game to play and walk up to itscene 17: the friends play the game, but don’t see the person behind them

scene 18: they win a prize and walk away

scene 19: one of the friends noticed the person following them 

scene 20 they then start walking fast, trying to act normal

scene 21: they start running, but get split up

scene 22: one of the friends looks for the other

scene 23: they run into each other, one of the friends telling thw other to hide on a ride

scene 24: the friend gets on a ride to hide (swing ride)

scene 25: she looks at the prize they won earlier, thinking about finding her friend

scene 26: the other friend tries to run, but comes to a dead end

scene 27: the unknown person grabs the friend’s arm

scene 28: the friend asks who they are

scene 29: the person grabs their hood

scene 30: the person reveals themselves as the old friend who ran away

Critical Reflection for Short Film

  After our film “She’s Here” was released, many questions began to form, one of the questions that stood out to me the most was how our products represented social groups or issues. To begin, the main representation in our film was disability where the kid that the babysitter is taking care of is a mute child. We made this obvious to the audience when the child, Lana, began to write in her daily notebook to communicate with her babysitter. The use of the mute child showed how lack of communication could occur even when you say everything properly, but the tone you say it can have a strong impact on how the person receiving the message interprets the message, which is an entirely different form of “lack of communication”. This can also connect to social issues in life, for instance, the experience the child goes through can sooner or later lead to post-traumatic distress for the child and even the babysitter, affecting the mental health of one another.
