production blog: water scene

Hey blog! its me again. Its our last day filming! I drove to Maddie's house around 5:30 so we all would make it to the beach by sunset maybe a little before. Once I got there I began to layout was would be filmed. After agreeing my group and I started to head over there. when arrived I noticed it was just about to be unset. So I told my group that we should just begin filming. As my group walked and talked about how it will go we began. I started off by filming my group mate as she was texting on the phone. This was a very important part of our climax. It led into a introduction of what was about to happen.  After that I was in the video until after the climax. The final scene I recorded was the bystander watching as someone kills the other. This opened up our video to a dramatic ending. After recording the bystander I also recorded the murder as they stood in the water starring at their hands thinking about what they have done. I used a wide shot and a high, eye, and low angle. The sunset gave it the touch the video needed. The lighting fit well in the end. Of course it was not perfect the first time recording so I has to redo it several times. That's it for today blog. We finally finished. Until next time. Karin logging off.

Script blog for Short Film

Hey blog! It’s me again! Today i will present my script for my short film FADE IN   SCENE 1 – Living Room at Night   A dimly lit suburban home. A storm rumbles outside, rattling the windows. RILEY (19), a babysitter, sits on the couch, lazily scrolling through her phone. LANA (8), a pale and quiet child, sits cross-legged on the floor, drawing in a notebook.   RILEY   (chuckles)   You have been s quiet all   Youâ €™ ve been so quiet all night, Lana. You sure youâ €™re not a robot?     Lana looks up at her, expression unreadable, then flips her notebook to a blank page and scribbles something. She holds it up:     “Sheâ €™s watching.â €     RILEY   (frowning)   Uhâ €¦ whoâ €™s watching?     Lana points toward the dark hallway leading to the bedrooms. Riley follows her gazeâ €”just darkness.     RILEY   Nice try. You trying to freak me out?     Lana shakes her head, eyes wi...

Our Pitch

Pitch A:  three friends get a ride home, one still waits. Who is the man that picks her up? Pitch B: Two friends get lost in a mirror maze but they see death in their reflection For pitch A it would be really interesting filming this, I believe that it would be easier filming this than pitch b. This film would be filmed at night because it adds more of a dangerous tension to the film. What I do not enjoy about this film is that its a basic storyline where the person gets kidnapped by a random car ride. On the other hand pitch b is more unique and creates a better tension. Also choosing a location to film this would be difficult as well. Pitch B would be a really fun film to be filmed. It would take place at a carnival and there will be a killer. We found this pitch be very unique compared to our first. This film would include a lot of tone and facial expressions when being filmed. The only bad thing about this film is that it may be difficult to film due to different availabl...
